Can any eta 7750 be made to work the 212 configuration?

Yes. The subdial placement on the 212 is standard Valjoux spacing. On top of that.. no date wheel to worry about. A question of modding the hand to fit the ETA Valjoux handstack.

A standard configured ETA 7750 (6-9-12) will not work with a 212, you need to do some serious modding to get it to work. You're better off using an ETA 7753 (3-6-9) and disable the the hour counter or purchase a bi-compax 7753...I think Concepta actually had one.

Once the hour counter is disabled, the rep dial will fit perfectly. It's an expensive proposition to go to a 7753.

What would be a really cool project is to try and find a cheap JeanRichard with the flyback movement and make a 212 franken. I almost had my hands on a used one once for less than $800!

Considering that a gen 212 sells on the secondary market for around $8-$10K...a super-franken seems reasonable!!!
