docdoc Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 I am killing myself at trying to remove this bezel ? I tried every sharp tool around but had no luck
Brightight Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 if it will come off, and there is no guarantee it will, for example it is almost impossible to remove the bezel from the Noob, the method suggested to me was using single edged razor blades, push in 4 at 90 degrees apart. then stack another on top of each forced in to widen the gap between bezel and case, then another, and so on until the bezel pops off. this way you are applying small amounts of force all the way round fairly evenly so less likely to damage the bezel. I've used this method with success on Seadweller and Datejusts but failed miserably on a Noob Sub.
kbh Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 Is that the DSSD case? If so good luck. I tried everything I know short of a cold chisel and hammer and couldn't budge it. I asked BK and he said he hasn't been able to get it apart either.
docdoc Posted May 1, 2010 Author Report Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) It is a GMT case. Is it normal that it does not click ? Edited May 1, 2010 by docdoc
Bansenshukai Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 It is a GMT case. Is it normal that it does not click ? I have the GMT II (ceramic bezel) and it does not "click". It's smoothly bi-directional and it does not click the way that a Submariner might click.

maas Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) Hi friends, Do you think this glass could fit on this model http://cgi.ebay.com/SAPPHIRE-WATCH-CRYSTAL-FIT-ROLEX-GMT-16700-16710-GASKET-/310176134527?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4837f0357f ... I have the project to change the crystal of this type of GMTII (z serie) Thanks Edited May 1, 2010 by maas
docdoc Posted May 1, 2010 Author Report Posted May 1, 2010 the diameter of the inside ring (where the glass is supposed to be) is 30.2 mm. This is the measurement without any gasket in it. Just the plain steel ring. But maybe you might want to open another thread to get your answer (and mine)
