3orkham Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Hello everybody I don't know if you noticed it but on the official rolex website the announce 44mm for the deepsea and not anymore 43mm ? Do you know if they changed the case or they made a mistake at the beginning ? If someone gots the genuine DSSD could you check the correct size ? Many thanks
OSRep Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 As far as I knew, the DSSD has always been 44mm.........
Dizzy Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 i read on Timezone a while ago that they changed the listed size to 44mm for this year. I know it used to be 43mm and now it is for sure listed as 44mm. I doubt they changed the watch itself. Seems odd and would be interesting to find out why.
plaifender Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Originally it's 43mm.. This year.. i've noticed that the ads in ebay and on the rolex site that it has been upped to 44mm. Don't get confused.. the dimension have remained exactly the same since it's introduction.. whether or not rolex is saying 44mm to "market" the watch as their "big boy" in the line-up is completely unbeknownst to me. I would venture to say it's closer to 44mm than 43mm just by the feel it has on my wrist. The presence on my wrist is actually quite similar to my 44mm Skyland Blacksteel
JIFF Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Rolex is the one who is responsble for this misunderstanding. They say it is both 43mm and 44mm in there (different) official brochures. I have measured mine. 43,2mm.
