redwatch
One of my goals while I was on vacation in Toronto last week was to take a day out and snap some photos. I won't post them here, but you can find them in my Gallery here
AllergyDoc
Looks like a lot of fun! Did you run into Dave123? Or run over?
krpster
I like the reflective shots of the tower. How did you like going up? Did you venture up to the sky pod or just stay on the observation deck? Love the glass floor. When I was little we used to look for those that would venture out on the floor oh so tentatively then come running up beside them an jump. redwatch
I did get to go up to the Skypod which I was really thrilled about. I haven't been up there since I was a kid about 20 years ago. The last time I went to the CN Tower was for a World Wildlife Fund event where we climbed the 1776 steps to the Observation Level for a charity event. They do this twice a year - once for WWF and once for Unicef (at least they used to). It was a great event. Anyways, the last few times I've been there, the Skypod was closed due to the high wind conditions. It was a cloudy day, but the wind conditions were just fine. Only a little bit of sway. I've heard from some sources that on a windy day the Skypod can sway about 3 feet in either direction. Some have said it can sway a lot more than that in extreme wind conditions. That's usually when they close it

krpster
Did a similar climb for charity several years ago, the United Way I believe. Quite a climb! That tower looks quite tall!! 553.3m (1,815 ft). Tallest freestanding tower in the world from 1975-2007. Some cool info on tallest towers here. mactower
Nice shots, I can see my condo from your CN Tower snaps. Oh, and nice snap of Witteveen meats at the market, they've got some of the nicest cuts of steak around! Wish I was in town to attend the GTG. Cheers, M.
