alvinado Posted May 24, 2010 Author Report Posted May 24, 2010 FINAL RESULTS! Daylight Color Semi Darkness Night Color *Please note that the part of the numeral that looks unlumed are not, it is just a misalignment of the dial and the base plate as I have just put them together in a hurry to show the results Luming of hands is coming up from gareth( watch-lume) Rolex dials reluming tutorials will be added soon.
Rolexman Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Nice vid but this is off course not comparable with a proper relume.... A regulal dial needs massive skills as do the hands.
alvinado Posted May 29, 2010 Author Report Posted May 29, 2010 Nice vid but this is off course not comparable with a proper relume.... A regulal dial needs massive skills as do the hands. bud hands are not that difficult, video will be posted soon
gtanak Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 Just tried your C1 on the hands of my Sinn U2. After mixing like you suggested, applying the hands was not too hard.. next is the dial! I'll document the rest in the Other Brands section so i avoid double posting. But just 2 pics taken from my iphone here as a bump for the great lume! Thanks!
gtanak Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Just did a comparison between using Watchlume ultimate green + watchlume binder vs AF-Luminova Green + AF binder. Conclusions : Watchlume is significantly brighter compared to AF after exposure to 10 sec of UV and of course both are much brighter compared to rep lume. This is a donor Cali dial and on the left (inclusive of 12 marker) is watchlume and on the right is AF-Lume (inclusive 6 marker) Numerals 8 and 5 are intentionally left untouched (ie rep lume) for a comparison. Well, with my iphone the results are not SO obvious, but they are. Well done Watchlume! In Daylight after lume PS: Thanks for the cali dial Dani
SMIDSY Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 quick and stupid question..... how do you apply the lume EVENLY so it doesn't look bulgy, lumpy/rough? The reps have it applied evenly (though with crap quality) but the relumes all look.... lumpy?
