I too thought it was a rep when I saw the right-justified date but as soon as I saw the movement ... wow!! No question. Really nice piece. Enjoy it.

yeah, for certain dates, the date sits probably just a wee-bit to the right, by about 0.5mm.

but got richemont to fix it, as it's a known issue with some of the 51011 calibre batches. so it's good to go now :)

Absolutely stunning watch, I'm sure you won't regret keeping this one.

I'm wondering, how would this one look on the OEM brown matte gator? Do the blue hands clash with the brown? Black is default, but I have a soft spot for white dials and brown straps :whistling:

Great watch!

Actually the default strap on the 5001-07 is a dark blue gator strap to match the blue markers. Not black.

I did try matching a couple of the brown gators at the IWC boutique, but didn't like how the watch looked with brown strap. Especially as the dial is actually silver in color with blue markers. So back to square one. The standard oem dark blue gator is still the best match so far.

I have a gen 3714-01 portu chrono as well, which came with a black gator. Changed that to a oem antique brown gator, which looks great on the watch due to the gold markers.
