Migge
So most of us know that its not a good idea to handwind your 7750 movement, but with the popularity in the DW daytonas etc increasing I think this is a legitimate question. Most of the people that builds their DW Daytonas use the 7750 movement and remove the Rotor and the autowinding parts, does this eliminate the problem? Cheers Mike
FxrAndy
Yes it should do once the reversing wheel and the rest of the auto wind parts are removed

The auto wind components are the parts that get worn/damaged by frequent (manual) winding. Remove those parts & you remove the problem. This of course assumes that your movement is in otherwise good condition (rep movements rarely are until/unless you have them serviced).
14060 or 16610?
Even without the autowind parts, teeth on the ratchet wheel can break if you wind too quickly. Just wind slowly and you should be fine.
