mastergod
Hi all, I asked a watchsmith to install a 2836-2 in a asian 21j case (trusty cheap 1655), and she said the dial feet must be altered + stem size was different but could be done if she sent it away to a "proper smith". It would cost about 120 USD to do this. Well I like to talk with the people actually involved in the job, and having bought Omega hands for it (which need adjustment to fit) and a DSN Brevet crown (Ok its a fantasy project) which is Molnija or 6497 (stem) I don
FxrAndy
All of it is possible but all require a bit of work, I assume you have a matching tube for the crown or dont want it to screw down The bit about the dial feet is correct, they need to be removed Infact you are talking about 4 parts that were never designed to fit together, so i would say $120 is not a bad price for the fiddling about it could be

mastergod
FXR, thanks for the reply! The price given was just to make the dial fit the new movement, not fit the crown and hands. Still, perhaps the quote for the entire job wouldn

rosnik
Just for your info. To replace 21j with 2836-2. -If 2836-2 is GEN ETA . Sure the minute , hores and seconds setams will be replaced with longet one. I hope you got GMT module. -If your 2836-2 Asia( GMT ) is from another Rep may be it need not new hands steams. I'm not sure the 21j hands can fit on ETA Sure the 21j feet will be cut out, and your dial will be glued. Wile............ I'm not sure the Date window is in the correct position,so, may be , you would take in count to replace dial too. One brass movement holder ring for eta is needed too. Sorry, but I suggest you to take in count to sale this and buy one right 1655.

You´re right though, I should have started with a ETA 1655 version, but the cgs been shaved, holes drilled, case blasted and custom dial made...so I feel I should proceed with the a21j case I have sent you a pm.
