theflyingdutchman Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Hi, Here some pics of various gold colors I have in my collection. Obviously these do vary slightly. Thanks for checking and hopefully this helps a bit! Dutchy 2 different RGs And another RG: and one more polished RG YG Brushed RG [ Ceramic gold (thanks Mickey!) Sanded and polished RG
exper Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Gold has really grown on me recently, maybe its the fact that everyone around me is wearing gold.. my old RG HBB was worn so little (once or twice in a year) that I ended giving it away to a friend which I dearly regret. Anyway... the FM in the first and the last picture... who from ? very nice ! Have the say the brushed RG looks very nice too not sure about the green gold but im sure it will grow on me. Just ordered the white / RG HBB w/o diamonds after seeing some of your photos, since the ceramic was out of stock but have pre-ordered that as well.
georgegrasser Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I absolutely love the Franck Mullers you have. My best rep is a RG Hublot.
mas6002mi Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 i saw a Gen Hublot in rose gold........ man! it looked beautiful........ been digging for a similar rep.....but wary of the color fading!
theflyingdutchman Posted June 9, 2010 Author Report Posted June 9, 2010 i saw a Gen Hublot in rose gold........ man! it looked beautiful........ been digging for a similar rep.....but wary of the color fading! HBB's do not fade that quick! Mine is 3 years old and no issues at all!
ironmarshal Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Do you have any problems with the rose gold oxidizing? If so, how do you take of the rose gold watches? Thanks for sharing the photos. IronMarshal
theflyingdutchman Posted June 10, 2010 Author Report Posted June 10, 2010 I have not had any oxidation issues, only with the RG PAM, it has stated to get slightly lighter for the last year.
georgegrasser Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) My President II is marked "750". It does really look a bit brighter than my Explorer I. I wonder if it really is White Gold plated??? Edited June 11, 2010 by georgegrasser
