Jon Martin Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Well folks I finally got the Survivor I've been wanting I've been tossing the idea around since it came out last year but I never thought I'd make the move again but I did I sold all my other reps and picked it up finally and I was happy until I realized a missing bezel screw WTF. I blew almost $700 on in this thing and I have to deal with this geez... Well I e-mailed Angus (my dealer for this piece) and now I'm hoping he can rush me a spare screw other wise this thing is gonna have to go back and I really really hate sending things back to china cause it takes forever. Has anyone else been successful on getting a Bezel screw if it was just that problem?
Jon Martin Posted June 13, 2010 Author Report Posted June 13, 2010 well after tightening the remaining screws to make sure none of then are lose I decided to take one out its place and move it to the missing screws hole but when I do that the screw will not tighten so that means the problem is more then just a loose screw. It seems like its missing threads so even if I got another screw it wouldn't help my case it seems
deniz21 Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 dam, im realy sorry to hear that i know it will take long, but send it back and buy another nice watch... maybe no ap this time

bosk Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I think SHAQ curse you for selling him to me! Isn't the bezel screw held by a nut? I don't think there are threads in the watch.
Jon Martin Posted June 16, 2010 Author Report Posted June 16, 2010 Get in touch with King, she got me a spare screw when i lost mine. Ya I thought about that Angus the dealer I bought the watch from offered to send me one. But even when I move one of the other screws it doesn't grab so the threads are missing. I think SHAQ curse you for selling him to me! lol maybe man it just sucks cause I've been wanting the survior for a while and its such a nice rep otherwise Isn't the bezel screw held by a nut? I don't think there are threads in the watch. No its not the same like the other roos where the nuts on the case back attach to the bezel screws there are seperate screws for the bezel and for the case back.
eunomians Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 The nut that holds the bezel screw is probably reversed; therefore, the bezel screw will not tighten. I had this problem with my Survivor. I lost 2 bezel screws the first time I wore the watch. I ordered 2 more bezel screws... When I opened the watch to tighten the replacement screws, the nuts were reversed so the bezel screws could not tighten at all. So I flipped the nuts around, and voil
MADRED7 Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Good observation and thanks for the heads-up. Theo

eunomians Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 ^^^Not really, just patience and about an hour of your time.
Jon Martin Posted July 6, 2010 Author Report Posted July 6, 2010 ^^^Not really, just patience and about an hour of your time. I took the back off and checked all the different screws and it looks like the "nut" that should hold the bezel screw was not present and it is the cause of why my screw fell out. Thanks for the tip it looks like I need to order a bezel screw and the nut behind it.
eunomians Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Glad you got it sorted out. I recommend that you grease the rubber gaskets while you're there for extra measure. Cheers

Cheers I don't know what to use but I'll probably send it out for a tear down service and lume maybe even though the movement works great now. I ordered the screw from King.
