blue lume hand markers..green lume on hour markers

Hi all , It has been awhile since I have been here as I have purchased a few rollie rep's.... Why is the lume not blue on the hour markers( it is green) ....Yet the blue lume is blue on a the hour hands????

I have seen very few true blue lumes..so my question is where can I get a dssd with true blue lume on hands and hour markers??

where can I purchase a dssd v5 with true blue lume??

Looks like the watch was put together with different parts from other watches and I am wondering why there is not a more uniform look in consistantsy from watch to watch....

Thanks for any input

I think that if you want really good consistent lume on the DSSD, you will either have to 1) Buy a genuine -pretty pricey, or 2) send yours off to one of our modding experts on the forum such as The Zigmeister or Vac. I have an ETZ 2010 DSSD and they touted photos of the lume which looked pretty good, but when I got the actual watch, the lume was very bright for a few minutes, but faded fast. Most of the rep makers use the bare minimum amount of Lume material, as it's pretty expensive. Frankly it would be a lot easier to do the job right the first time and just charge a few dollars more, but that's not how they work.

I have two DSSD's (and had another v5 briefly) the 316f ult has proper blue all round when charged with most lights. However, when charged with a LED torch (the led seems to have a different kind of light), the hour markers appear green, but only for a moment before turning blue.

I had my perfect ten relumed by The Zigmeister and it is now officially amazing!

Thanks for your replies ..yes I was told that too as they parts come from different palces but assembled in one place...Just seems like you come find a uniformed too outsource so that all dssd's are equal in stature.. I know the lume is expensive ......but I would rather pay more and have it done right.

I my first DSSD was great it was actually blue...then I sold it ...not knowing that there is a difference from one place than another...I guess I was lucky on my 1st DSSD..I wished now I had not sold it ....

Well I guess my next venture will to be to Zigmeister do the deed...any Idea what the cost is to have this done and how long will I be with my timepeice??

Thanks guys for your reply.

You being prepared to pay more, and the rep manufacturers being prepared to pay more, are two very different things, my friend :whistling: Sadly, they build with the lowest cost possible, and are marketing to folks who aren't as 'particular' about details as a watch enthusiast, but just want a 'nice-looking watch' :)

I'm not too sure what the Zigmeister charges for a relume, but his work is without question, first rate quality :victory:
