Guest sharkrun20 Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Took a few glamor shots of my AP Royal Oak Chrono on custom gator strap. The size is perfect and this thing feels like a million bucks (well, $18k actually). The ROO is just cumbersome so I much prefer this more manageable size.

Guest sharkrun20 Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 It isn't the most accurate, but it feels the part which is just as important in my book. These watches are so incredibly rare in the wild and they came out with so many versions that it isn't really an issue to me.

Finish looks also fine from the side... is it just my eyes - besides from the smaller rubber ring viewed from the side under the bezel there seems to be no big difference in height to the ROO? Would be fine if you could tell height in mm Thanks! George

This is the City of Sails version that dealers carry, but with an AP bands croc strap replacing the standard rubber strap. No AR, just a trick of photography. That said, the lack of AR doesn't look bad because the crystal is recessed and flush to the bezel.
