My 228 is complete...

I am not a blue dialed watch guy, but like all of my watches; I decide whether to keep or sell after I have modded the cr@p out of them...

Anyway; to my suprise: The 228 is a keeper!!!

-This started as a donor watch that I got from another member here. (DSN model)

-2Geek DW (Had to beg Vac to remove the paint off the teeth)

-Freshly serviced A7750

-lume by our very own Vac.

-T Crown

-CG refinished and pin flushed.

-Strapped on a Wotan Egi Strap.

Now I have seen other complain about the dial being too purple...I havn't seen the gen in person, and from what I can tell, I think this sucker is a keeper.

Thats a beauty of a watch right there TST! Is the dial meant to be blue or purple though? Either way, its a looker. Wear it well

Looks blue most of the time, but when I get sad it changes to purple. It's Panerai's mood watch.

Purple(ish) in certain light; but it is blue at most angles. (If that makes sense)

This pic should show you the difference between DSN's Purple Nightmare and his Blue one. There are actually three variations, at least I was given three. One is all nasty and Purple, one teases you with a nice matte Blue sub-dial, and the third is the way it should be - all Blue. I've got the two Purple ones safely locked away in my attic, hoping they'll take on any Purple properties that a future dial may have ....

All you need to do on your is polish up the centre area of the case back, and give the outer slope a sunburst pattern
