  1. Thanks... I am passing along all this info to the modder. Hopefully it helps. In the meantime; if anyone here would want to take on this work. Please PM me.
  2. This watch has been to 2 different watchsmiths/modders to no avail... (already sent a message to Freddy too) Here is my cry for help...Not sure who can handle this or at least give me advice. Ingredients include: Gen 16233 Case Gen Crown and tube Gen Crystal ETA 2892 Stilty Movement Ring Clark Tudor Hands Gen Gold Datewheel (I think it is overlayed) Here is the issue: 2 people from another forum already worked on this one. The first time the watch was completed, the seconds hand fell off. The second time (same modder) it returned, the second hand started hitting the cyclops. The Third time is still in limbo. The modder told me he cannot figure out how to get this one to work and cant find the right parts. I informed him a while back that a cp would have to be changed, and possibly taller hour and 4th wheel. (I know I read that here somewhere but cant find the thread) Now that the watch is about 8 months out...I plead to the Rolexperts to chime in... Sadly, I have had SOOOOO many watches come through my hands over the last 8 months I will likely not even wear this one that much. But I HATE not finishing something I start!! Now I want this one badly; but I need a person who can complete the job. This is my watch: ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!!! SOMEBODY HELP!!!
  3. I posed this one on another forum a while back and thought about it a little while ago. I kept wondering why my pics looked soooo much better on Photoshop, as opposed to when they are posted on PB. In this comparison, please keep in mind that I do PAY for my Photobucket and checked the box for high quality uploads. I ran across another photo hosting site that costs about the same amount per year. WOW!!! Check out the difference. (I assure you that these pics were identical when uploaded) Photobucket: Smug Mug: Or a little smaller: Photobucket on left: Photobucket on left: Photobucket on left: One more: Photobucketon left: Now I know Photobucket is the norm...But THIS is quite unacceptable to me...I have spent lots of money on a good camera and lens, (because the photographer sucks) only to be shocked at these differences. Not good Photobucket. Even thought they make it pretty easy to post, I am NOT happy with what they do to our images. Anyone know about this or use something different?
  4. A couple weeks for the parades... Mardi Gras is late this year... You coming in town?
  5. Just looking around photobucket and found some of my favorite gen pics... All of these have survived the "cut" and are still in the ole watchbox...(except the Breitling) B&R 03-88: BP FF Trilogy: Breitling (BCE) (Actually sold this one; but loved the pic): JLC (My favorite pic): Lum-Tec 500m: ZERO!!!! 359: 16233:
  6. Oh guys... Don't get me wrong... This baby does NOT glow like in the pics... I had it under direct sunlight for a while...turned off the light and let the shutter go for approx 30 seconds... Believe me... The lume is perfect on this bad boy. The Zigmeister did an amazing job. I just thought the pic looked cool. This was the brightest I have ever seen this lume, and it surely didnt last long.
  7. Yup... That non centered DW is definitely an issue. Your 9 looks better than mine, and you are dead right about the 20's. I believe the crystal was installed by The Zigmeister. I got it from another member here who had all the work done.
  8. So here I present to you the following: Puretime Limited Edition (sold out) Case with slowbeat movement and Silver datewheel. MBW Dial lumed by The Zigmeister GEN Tropic (Not service model, but the correct DOME!!!) Gen tube and crown Gen springbars I LOVE THIS WATCH!!! and I am NOT a big Rolx fan! Check out THAT dOMe!!! Vintage Lume on about a 30 second exposure:
  9. Almost sold this one a couple times for a MAJOR loss...Don't you love it when you take pics of a watch and totally change your mind? Only problem now is that I cannot decide if I should keep the coronet dial or go for a nice RP Dial... I installed the RP dial to see if I like it and now I am really torn. Crappy iPhone pics...

Thanks hike. You were my inspiration. It is a gen Zero G. First series.
  12. Playing in the back yard this weekend and thought I should take some pics... Plus how do you like my new pic sig? MAN...Those are some nice shades...I'm no Aviator type, but these babys rawk... Sorry...Had to add this one...New Camera/Lens combo is working nicely: As for the specs: Puretime case, slowbeat ETA movement with correct silver datewheel. MBW Dial and hands relumed by The Zigmeister GEN tube, crown, springbars, and T39 doMed CRYSTAL . Shaved Crown Guards
  13. I also received a few extras from the Boutique... One of the books is GIANT...Beautiful PAM pics all throughout.
  14. My PAM359 showed up today... I couldn't be happier with it.
  15. Thanks for the post...I have already emailed Phong and Yuki...Just awaiting the reply... I am thinking along the same lines as yours JustasGood. Except maybe a matte dial instead of Gilt.
  16. A friend just donated to my watch collection...A VERY old 1005 Oyster Perpetual Model... Needless to say; I am not ecstatic about the watch itself, so I cracked open the case to find this wonderful cal 1560 inside...Nice butterfly rotor!!! After some searching, it seems that this is the movement sometimes used in the genuine 5512 and 5514 series... NOW WE ARE TALKING!!! So; now I am actively hunting for case/dial/hand options for this movement. - Is the Cal 1560 the same size as the 1520-1580? - What about hand compatibility? Anyone who may be able to lead me in the right direction? I would appreciate it. pics:
  17. SMOKIN!!!!!!!!!!! Now I need one...Thanks.
  18. I think you can probaly remove and reset the hands without too much of an issue... As for the etching in the AR...You may need another crystal...Or you can just strip the A/R. Sorry to hear about this though, and hope you get it figured out.
  19. Looking good my friend. CG looks good. Needs a T Crown on there.
  20. As far as I know... These have been created...Be it a limited run, or mass production... The need to try and create as close to an original as possible and the constant work that needs to be done helps satisfy my cravings for more watches. If a Vintage one requires more work; I am likely going to spend less time buying and modding the "regular" known reps... Sounds wierd, but VERY addicting. I am also working on a couple Vintage Rolex's right now...Starting to get an itch in that area now.
  21. Beautiful...and Great Pics... Suggested mods include: 1. Polish the bezel dots...Be sure to secure them good...They have a tendency to fall out. 2. If you wanted...You can also shave a tiny bit off the dots to make them just a bit more shallow. 3. Dental floss mod on the bezel...If it isn't done already. Makes it nice and tight...Click much better for me. Other than the larger engraved numbers on the dots and HE...It is a Stunner!!! Other than those: This baby is a keeper. Here is a quick pic of mine: Looking at your pics again...It looks like most (if not all) of these mods were already done.
  22. I got these from different members that got from VDB... Borrowed pics...They are just sooo good, I can't replicate these pics. Are the hands incorrect on this one? And my creation: NW Project... Plus a couple others that are out getting "fixed at the moment" Thanks for looking.
  23. FANTASTIC!!! Making me miss my ole 63 I sold a while back... Beautiful watch.
