Can anyone tell me what this movement is?

This is Narikaa's Aquaracer 500M. He didn't know what the movement is, so he sent me a photo, which doesn't help me much - I can't tell a DG from an ETA or anything else. I assume it is the standard 21J, but can anyone tell?

Seagull ETA clone? That's my guess anyway. Seagull makes a clone LIKE an ETA, without it actually being the common "ETA clone"

Reg's guess was a Seagull 25J, but he pointed out that he's no expert, either. Is the Seagull better/worse than the standard 21J? Anyone know what the bph is on the Seagull?

I would agree that it looks like a Seagull. If it is, it's far superior to the 21j. In fact it is almost on par with it's ETA counterpart, the 2824.

perhaps you can ask Reg to see if there is any stamping (numbers, symbols, etc) on the movement?...
