TK471
Looks nice. Probably a 2geeks or other DW upgrade would go a long way. But, looks great as is.
prdubis
Looks nice. Probably a 2geeks or other DW upgrade would go a long way. But, looks great as is. 2geek is about to release an upgraded version of their famous 7750 PAM date wheel... You can already preorder them on their site... leitztozeiss
How does the 2geeks DW v2 look under the DSN cyclops?
aardian
Exactly how I would do it. Except that DSN is now shipping them with the correct 6mm cyclops. Be careful not to transplant the crystal from a cartel ultimate PAM 199 because the magnification is just too much it blows up the date fonts out of proportion, esp. when you install Taka's DW. Spot on again on A CG, but HiJack at RG apparently have successfully modded a few ToroBravo/WholesaleOutlet Historic CGs into a good looking enough A CG. I have ordered both 24A and 25D I think I will mod them like this: -change date wheel for the new 2Geek one -change crown for T48 spring loaded -and change crystal as soon as I will be able to get a good one with the right size cyclop... I don't think I will change the CG as it is pretty difficult to find a good A-Serie CG... What do you think?
mir36
I really want to order this from DSN but the midcase (lugs and low crown height position) keeps holding me back. Do the experts think it is possible to transplant the bezel assembly to a 029 midcase?
w0lf
Not possible with a 29 case. Sub cases have a smaller rehaut and crystal, they would just fall through a 29 case. But even if everything was the right size and made for a 7750 movement, milling the ledges and groves for a ratcheting/slider assembly would require an extensive machining setup. A lot of trouble to go through for a $3500-4K gen.
