Reuse old omega in house movements?

There are so many out there, both manual and automatic. I'm just wondering if can they be reused in our watches to replace ETA 2824-2 or 2836-2 movements.

Any thought guys?

I doubt they would be a reliable substitute for eta 2824 etc as they have problems of their own and parts are getting harder to find and costing more and more.

Set bridges in the 565 etc are weak and the 'push/pull crown' quickset is prone to trouble. Many have floppy rotors from years of wear and the autowind reverser is not the best.

They are very good for Seamaster 300 replicas if you can find a case, dial, and hands.
