Dealer servicing and water proofing No i would not trust it.

Work by Ziggy, vac ect then i would take that in consideration in the price.

I service all my own watches these days and a it is a good couple of hours workk for an automatic but once it is done i expect 5 years of problem free opperation and that piece of mind is worth a lot when you are buying a rep.

After hearing reports that watches were leaking even after the buyer had paid the dealer's premium for waterproofing, no, I do not trust any claims that paying extra will get a watch waterproofed from the dealer. However, I do believe that most watches will be waterproof by virtue of their design, and have had a 99% success rate with that regard on my purchased watches. I've only had one watch which leaked upon arrival, a PAM 105. It was sent back for replacement, and the replacement was perfectly waterproof :) As soon as they arrive, I run them under a faucet on full flow. If all is well, it goes on the wrist and then endures bathing/swimming etc. If it was to fog up, well, that just gives me a little project of stripping the watch to dry it out :victory:
