My 'Old case' 196 early 05' daylight

This was my daily beater for ages but then due to a crapped cannion pin it became a paperweight for over 18 months, nothing came close to the weight and feel and I was proper upset. I was about to give up hope of ever getting it working again.

Ahhh, the one and only old-school 196 :)

You could still add few finishing touches to the exterior, like better crown, flatter lever pin and maybe slightly better lug screws, but even so - it's a beauty :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Too good for a paperweight, bud...;) Enjoy!

Believe me, Pete - I'm even more glad...

I'm the way I am, sorry...can't help it. I know there's a doctor or medicine for this but so far haven't been able to find one that works :D

hey billy --

looks great...is this the case where the date advance pusher is a little lower on the case toward the middle?...more horizontally aligned with "75" than "73" looking straight on at the side...

any profile pix of that side?...

wear it well...glad its back on your wrist...

Here's my, what I believe to be "old skool", 196 taken apart to clean-up the inner case and movement from any visible debris. Originally I was going to use it for an attempted ETA 7753 install, but put that project on hold (plus didn't have a good 7753 dial). Now it is in deep storage :whistling:
