watchlover321 Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 Ebay linky Curious, I tried sending this guy a simple question thru eBay "Any Boxes, Warranties, Genuine?" His reply was: "all positive. Give me your emails" All my fire alarms went off. I inspected his blurry picture and notice the schaffhausen was far to the left.. IMHO it's a replica.. not to mention he prolly will take ur money and run Confirmations anyone?

watchlover321 Posted September 27, 2006 Author Report Posted September 27, 2006 Run just as fast as your little legs will take you His other two watches are reps too. Ken I reported the items to eBay. sigh.. this is scary. Cheating others for couple hundred bux is no good.
mums-mums Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 I reported the items to eBay. sigh.. this is scary. Cheating others for couple hundred bux is no good. Item now removed by EBay. Thx for being alert.
offshore Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Item now removed by EBay. Thx for being alert. Good stuff people.. I'm amazed ebay got off their collective bums to remove anything from a private report! I've given up reporting them, now just tell the buyer its a rep, and leave it at that! Offshore
watchlover321 Posted September 30, 2006 Author Report Posted September 30, 2006 Ebay is responsive for 'certain' stuff, for example copyright-related issues. Note that fast for ebay is still around a day or two--so if the auction is closing in a day, they won't 'get around to it' as they say Good stuff people.. Starbug Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 I've toyed with the idea of an account or even a RWG collective ebay account for just sending messages to the current winning bidders, informing them that the watch they are about to pay for is actually a fake. Reporting auctions to ebay is a bit hit and miss.. sometimes they act, sometimes they dont
watchlover321 Posted October 1, 2006 Author Report Posted October 1, 2006 I agree; I think eBay takes into consideration if it receives more than one complaint e.g. more users complain about the same item as fake. In this case the decision will be swift. Report from one account may not do much, but multiple reports from multiple accounts will have a greater impact IMHO
