512modulo Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 hi all, ive done a search for ageing bezels, in bleach and tried that but its not working... what can i do to age it, its a metal bezel insert...im trying my best to mod it.... any help appreciated.. regards
JIFF Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Dip in phosphoric acid for one second than rinse in (al lot of) water and repeat that process until you have the aging you want... You should be able see some aging after one dip... What do you think al those sellers of aged inserts on VRF use to age their inserts??? They buy an insert voor approx. 30-40 USD, age them and sell them for hundreds of USD...

sneed12 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 A bezel will show noticeable aging after only a few SCUBA dives, so a week in salt water ought to do something...
Dizzy Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Quick question. What is VRF? OMG dude... the Vintage Rolex Forum!! I live there! lol
