dluddy Posted November 5, 2010 Report Share Posted November 5, 2010 There are some dials where the varnish applied caused the tritium to darken making a mis-match with the hands (non-matching) There are others where the tritium on both dial and hands patina's nicely together (Matching) Your picture above reflects an accurate matching dial patina although the hands look non-matching. I prefer matching to the non-matching but it's a preference. Some non-matching dials are very yellow. Hard to get it wrong since there is much variation.
