7835/0 Bracelet confusion

I have a question.

Was the clasp on the 7835 folded link bracelet exactly the same size as the clasp on the 78350 bracelet. If anybody has two gens to compare I would like this answering as I have what is supposedly a gen 78350 bracelet but the clasp is a different size to my (definitely) gen folded link 7835.

I am pretty sure the 78350 clasp is wider & has a slightly different connection to the links. I do not have a solid link on hand to verify, but I doubt they are interchangeable.

Like Freddy, I don't have a gen 78350 to measure, but I agree with his observations. The degree of taper on the 7835 is much more severe--its narrowest link is just 12mm across.

Thanks chaps, that info. corresponds to the size difference I have observed in my supposedly gen 78350. Looks like it might be gen after all - any other major tells?

Take a look at this excellent 78350 comparison by wiesn089. The shape of the final mid-link -i.e. the one that lines up with the lugholes- is an easy tell, but you should also be able to judge your bracelet's bona fides by examining its stampings and comparing. The clasp coronet alone should give you enough to look at!
