mir36
I have 2 Swiss 6497s with the same problem. The seconds hand stops when I push in the winding stem. I plan to use them for PAM builds, so there will be inward pressure on the stem with the CG closed. I've checked the usual suspects and there are no issues: - Keyless works is fine - I can set the time - I can wind properly - The seconds hand does not touch the hour/min hands - The movements seem to keep good time. Thanks in advance. Edited December 14, 2010 by mir36
Rolexman
Here's a long shot. Maybe the movement and dial have a little slack which causes the second hand post to touch the dial (inside of the hand cut out hole) which causes the movement to stop. If you put pressure on the crown you are actually moving the movement whereas the dial stays in place. Ergo you push the second hand post against the dial. I have encountered this issue before. Keep us posted!
FxrAndy
If they are in a case with a dial on then it sounds just like Rolexman says above, check the dial feet are still attched also!
