vlydog
Phong case vs DW case pros, cons?
Watchmeister
"MC" is referring to the Tudor Monte Carlo I presume.

ubiquitous
Probably not a ton of differences between the two actual mid-cases. The big difference is likely going to be in the accessory parts to go with it (i.e. pushers, crystal, bezel). That and price...
modelizer
+1 Phong's case back engravings (which is the only real weak spot on DW's IMO) also look better/ deeper.. Question is if that really justifies the price difference..?
lhooq
Based on the pictures I've seen, the DW looks very similar to the old Phongs, even down to common errors e.g. lughole placement. However, I think someone may have verified that the Phong does indeed take a genuine Cyclope 128 without modifications. And as modelizer said, those caseback engravings... I would dearly love to have those. If DW offered an improved 7032 caseback, he could sell it at any price*. (*Up to $120.)
marsupilami
ok. I have a phong case and except the missing threads on the pusherholes the case is perfectly accepting genuine parts. no problems with genuine crystal and bezel installing. gen. 605 rolex endlinks fit perfect to the case. the back engraving is very satisfying and the 700 tubes from my production also fit perfectly. Will take some detailled pics tomorrow.
