josh_w Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Intereseted in a brown gator for my 288. Want less taper so was going for 27/22 on a buckle. But people have 26/22 straps for radiomirs. Should I get a 26mm strap? Hold out for a 27mm? -Josh
blackbard Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 1mm will not make a visible difference when tapering to 22. Either one is nicer than 24...It will fill the space more, but not overly noticeable. Good luck!
josh_w Posted January 20, 2011 Author Report Posted January 20, 2011 But all things equal on a custom strap would you go 26 or 27?
PeteM Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Personally I went with 27/22 though standard Rads are 27/20 for deployant. I had one made in 27/22 for deployant much prefer it to the one that came with it. I also have a 26/26 OEM JV with deployant for it and as The Bear says it dont make any real difference

blackbard Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 But all things equal on a custom strap would you go 26 or 27? Go big or go home as they say over here in Texas.... So, if you are having one made, go 27. It doesnt cost any extra and you have one that will fill the space more even if not very noticeable...

The 27 does take it nicely to the end of the lug bars Though if you get Stans better quality replacement liug & screw set his are a little tighter than the ones that come with the rep. Why not ask the Texan Bear here what magic he could work for you with a strap
