hiker01 Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 I have a couple of Rolex watches that I shipped to one of our Italian Members, declared as "Broken watches for repair - to be returned!" and it was stolen upon arrival in Italy. The member was told by his local Post Office that the package was broken and that the contents are missing! We're not sure whether it was stolen from Italian Customs or Post Office! Just BEWARE! Hike!
Ronin Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Sounds like a replay of our Daytona trade. Maybe this is why every eBay auction either won't ship to Italy, or forces FED-EX Only at a high $ premium. This sucks,
Guest Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Man... that blows, but again I wouldn't be surprised...Italy and several other countries' postal systems are known for THEFT.

valerian Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Sorry to hear it. Shipping to Italy is notoriously difficult. Val.
