prdubis Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 About this "new" 1680: gen crown DOESN'T fit the original tube. You'll have to change them both. And even if the gen crown is smaller than the one coming with the watch, the CG are still too small so it looks too big...
jmb Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Them changing the compression ring is a major step forward! Unless they "broke" something else in the process...
tonyp1 Posted February 4, 2011 Author Report Posted February 4, 2011 Hi tonyp1, What do you think of the bracelet? Kind regards, Marc. Bracelet is ok. Not great. It wont fall apart but its a lot lighter than the noob mariner. Not sure if thats correct for this model.

The gen crown is a little smaller but the reps cgs are too small. Still I'm happy with the watch. It has the charisma of a 1680. It feels like the gen. The PT 1680 I had some time ago didn't. I'm not sure what it was about the PT 1680 but it just didn't have the presence this watch does. That said I'm going to a buy anther PT 1680 for its silver date wheel lol. jmb Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 I suppose you might be able to find gens with CGs that short from over zealous polishing for 40+ years?
