marcoxxx1984 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Will a genuine valjoux 23 fit inside a DW 6263 case made for the Asian 7750 with the slim case back ;v 72 version)????? Thanks friends
ubiquitous Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I do not know about retrofitting a V23 into a case intended for a 7750; physically the movement will fit (the V23 is 13''' in diameter, whereas the 7750 is 13.25'''), but it's likely that the stem will not line up in the tube. I do know that a V23 will swap in with a DW mystery movement case, however...
marcoxxx1984 Posted January 27, 2011 Author Report Posted January 27, 2011 Thanks Ubi! I didn't find an answer to my question in the oldies posts...
freddy333 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 As Ubi said, as long as both movements are similar sizes, you can make 1 fit a case made for the other. I installed a V72 (same basic dimensions as V23) into a DW 7750 case, which took quite a bit of grinding/polishing, but it did work. You can search out my 6241 threads for details of the struggle.......er, I mean process.
Olivax Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I have a spinmaster 6263 Paul Newman and I've asked Spin already. He told me that if I want to put a V72 in it, i have to change the case. Hope it will help you. Thanks Ubi! I didn't find an answer to my question in the oldies posts...
marcoxxx1984 Posted January 27, 2011 Author Report Posted January 27, 2011 Damn... I have a gen V23 and and a 7750 case...
marcoxxx1984 Posted January 28, 2011 Author Report Posted January 28, 2011 None else has other experiences?
