lgking
I have not heard much in the way of opinions regarding Yuki built watches. But I am considering the purchase of this one (Omega Seamaster 300)... http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/ite...20/8453038.htm Anybody have anything 'pro' or 'con' regarding this watch (and builder)...? lhooq
Pro: It's a decent-looking Seamaster 300 rep when viewed from the front. Con: It looks very little like an SM300 from the side. Bigger con: It's the exact same rep you can get from other trusted dealers at ~$180.

lgking
Yuki wrote me back and said that they put a 'brand new' 2836 engine into their watch(s). Would the Yuki-built Rolex models with this engine be any better (as the rep dealers can perhaps give you engines that are either old or not what they say they are. lhooq
Check out ubi's excellent comparison between a genuine SM300, and the cartel rep. The quality of the movement is a secondary issue. I can't comment on all the pre-built Yuki watches, but the ones I'm familiar with (like the 6263 Daytona) also seem to be bog-standard cartel reps with no relation to the more expensive and more accurate case sets that Yuki sells.
