Good hand-off! :thumbsupsmileyanim: Cousin's has tech/data sheets for most of the ETA movements and if not listed on their site can usually provide one if you drop 'em an e-mail...

Thanks guys! Great info in there, however, after reading it over several times, I don't see the sub-dial spacing anywhere. Am I missing something (I am nearly blind - need new glasses which I am picking up today!)

Looking for info on the ETA 2894. Specifically the sub dial spacing and movement thickness.

Thanks!

Are you in some kind of "Daytona" project? If yes, I'm interested.

Sudial spacing is 7.5mm from the center...Did you think I was BSing you when I told you this via PM? :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Here is the Manufacturing Document...

Sorry Mike...must have completely missed that one :D Oops! Thanks again for the info (and for pointing out that I am officially a dumbass) :thumbsupsmileyanim:

No you are not nuts. I'm just blind! I'll have to re-check the dial dimensions to see if that will work. I measured the spacing as 7.85mm (I think)

Well I just confirmed it. Subdial spacing of a 2894 will not work with this dial. 7.5mm would put the shaft right on the inside edge of the subdial hole. Needs to be just a little bit wider unfortunately.

Hmmm.... :g: Now what to use?

maybe 2824 or 2892 with dubois depraz chrono module?....the 2824 w/DD chrono can be found on early Gevril chronos

I was looking into the possibility of using an ETA with attached DD module. I don't think the 2824 will work though, as from what I have been able to research, the 2020 chrono module is only set up for 6 - 9 - 12 configuration. For a tri-compax style chrono with running seconds at 3, the only option I have been able to source is the 2892-A2 with a DD 2021 on it.

And as Bike Mike pointed out, servicing it will prove a little difficult.

If only I could find a gen Breitling B36 movement that would solve my issue, but they are very, very difficult to source.

the older smallish Breitling Chrono Cockpit....I have similar watch....I believe it has a 289x base with a 3-6-9 chrono module: http://cgi.ebay.com/...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

the original Gevril Chrono I mentioned...I also have this watch...it is a 2824 with DD chrono modules at 3-6-9: http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item53e5ccc671

I stand corrected :D Thanks for the links btocamelo. Only issue now: is it worth buying that Gevril Chrono for $750.00 just for the movement? :g:

And will the sub-dial spacing work? Anyone have a spec sheet on a 2824 with a DD Chrono module mounted on it?

Have done a ton of research on DD Modules...no luck with finding much data if anything. Can use a scaling equation, if you know the size of the Gevril dial. :thumbsupsmileyanim:
