Hi all,

when I noticed the new PAM005 K series offered by our dealers I almost placed my order. But then I saw that the gen 005K comes with a plain lever whereas that new 005K rep has got a roller ball? So what is correct? Do any genuine K series with roller ball exist? AFAIK the L series comes with a roller ball?

On the genuine pam the roller ( on the CG!) is almost invisible as it is SOOOOOOOOO nicely done :D

yes, many gen pics appear not to have the roller but it's because they are hard to see.

I believe the rep can be fixed though.

Okay, I see. Yes, I think it will be easy to work on the rep's lever ball to make it more flush. Perhaps not perfect like the gen which is nearly invisible but better like out of of the box. :good:

That may explain why I've seen pix of J series 111s that look to have non-roller CGs.

J series is the transitional series where the roller ball lever was 1st time introduced.. early numbers of J series does not have lever while the later numbers does.. no idea which range of serial numbers the roller ball levers were 1st introduced..

You're exactly right. I had a gen 111 in that series, number in the 400s, and I had the roller ball. At a GTG in DC, I saw an earlier J (in the 100s) with no roller ball, so it had to have happened some time after that.

So I assume that rep will be killer. Perhaps it is needing that little fix on the lever. But as soon as it is reviewed here I pull the trigger!

I wish I could post the pics I received, which were high res. But Josh's email asked us not to, and I'm not going to risk pissing him off until after I know that watch has been shipped!
