CaptainJack
Hello all, I tried to find some pictures of the movement in the WM9 V2, dial side, in the search function, but no luck. I was curious how the date wheel was driven. The reason I'm trying to find out is I have just bought a gen DW for my V3 and Tribal responded to a PM that he got one to work in a V2 after alot of sanding to make it an overlay. I was curious if the ETA 2678-2 had more room to play with or if the clearance between the movement and the underside of the dial was the same. Any help? Dizzy
Yeah I always wondered how they put a full size datehwheel onto a ladies watch movement. You must need some custom spacer plate so the datewheel doesnt bind up as soon as you tighten the case clamps.
jmb
I've had to "sacrifice" an additional 2671 date wheel to modify into a spacer, glue on top of existing date wheel to increase "height", then glue on the overlay. A real PITA...
Dizzy
Sounds like it would be easier to use the right size movement???
klocklind1
Sounds like it would be easier to use the right size movement??? Yes and the 2836-2 ( right size!) is better than the smaller 2678-
CaptainJack
The 2836-2 is the one that keeps getting mentioned when talking about the V2, I got the 2678-2 number off by-tor's review of the V2, in one of the comments. This was just a curiosity, I have the 2824-2 and I'm going to try to do a gen Date Wheel overlay in my V3. But I'm still curious to see how they did drive the date wheel with the smaller movement in the V2.
