Xding
Guys, I am a new member here and just got into this hobby. I really like the PO Royale Casino. I am thinking to get a decent rep with swiss movement and then replace with some gen parts. I am thinking a gen dial, bezel, crown and the valve. What do you guys think and where can I get a decent rep? I am thinking to ask somebody to source the stuff and do the job. Who do you guys recommend? Any opinion is welcome!!! many thanks! arizac
I'm a bond fan too Daniel Craig used the 45mm PO on rubber and the 42mm on bracelet...i think. I'm sure about the 45mm on rubber, he wore it on the Parkour scene at the beginning, and the blue seamaster in the Montenegro Casino scene with Le chiffre. but i'm not so sure about the one on bracelet in casino royale. I'm sure he wore a PO on bracelet in Quantum. Tell me exactly what you need and i think i can help you with that.
plaifender
Xding.. You have access to a GEN Casino Royale Dial??? Please DO tell where to find something like that!
Xding
@arizac, good to see you love bond also. I am actually looking at the 45mm PO with rubber strap. @plaifender, I think the dail is the same as the normal PO. From the pictures i see, the only difference between the "royale casino" version and the normal PO version is the second hand. There is a 007 gun log on one end. Or am I missing something there? Thanks!
arizac
Xding, if what you really want is what Daniel Craig Wore on the Film the best way to go is with the newest release from the cartel. I always recommend Josh: http://www.1-pc8838.com/iplogin.php He's a reliable and nice guy, with always the latest cartel releases in stock. Although i also recommend to wait a little longer for someone to review it first before purchasing (The watch was released this week), because without seeing at least good pictures from the replica i can't tell you what flaws it has and mods should be done to improve the watch. Also, the newest release comes with steel bracelet, not rubber, so you would have to buy it apart or ask josh to put it together himself, the rubber strap available has great quality IMO. Well and if you want a PO with "Casino Royale" Dial (Not what Craig wore, but the model promoting the movie) there is no accurate replica watch available. And these are extremely rare and expensive, so if you think of passing this as a gen...well...i don't think that's an option. So my advice is wait a little longer for reviews of the new UPO, and then with the available info make your decision!.
Xding
Hi arizac, Thanks a lot for your detailed explanation. I am looking actually this one Is this the one you are talking about to promote the movie? Is there a good rep for this model? From my first glance, it is the same like the normal 45mm PO, only the second hand is different. I saw this one on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5BDU2EMDww And thinking if you guys think it is a good one, i will get one and have some gen part replaced. I think it is the same dial, bezel and crown like the normal PO.

danza1812
Case back on casino royal watch and second hand are the only differences to the standard 45mm PO. Good luck.
Xding
Thanks Matt for the confirmation. who did you asked for the franken job or you did it yourself? Edited March 4, 2011 by Xding
danza1812
I did some myself, but in the end i sent it to Domenico for the finishing touches; crystal, datewheel and waterproofing. It now has, gen dial, hands, datewheel, bezel, crystal, crown and tube and bracelet. Just so you know ofrei used to sell a gen 007 second hand for the 45mm po. What you need is a 45mm UPO and perhaps do dial, hands, datweheel, rubber strap and second hand and you will have a pretty sweet franken. Ive had 2 upo frankens and they turned out pretty good. Xding
hi matt, so it is really hard to find the gen second hand for this? BTW, you really has a beauty there! does ofrei has a website? Edited March 4, 2011 by Xding
plaifender
I was under the impression that the 007 dial was textured... Not sure why I thought that. Completely feasible project. XDING- the tube, crown, crystal and valve you can do yourself. If you've got more balls you can do the dial swap, but it requires removing the hands. Here's my franken 45.5mm UPO with Gen Tube, GEN Crown, and GEN Crystal Next mods will be dial and bracelet if I can afford one!
danza1812
Defo needs a dial, the lettering spacing is wrong on that upo isn't it. Xding it's www.ofrei.com.
plaifender
Defo needs a dial, the lettering spacing is wrong on that upo isn't it. Xding it's www.ofrei.com. referring to mine? The "co-axial" on the rep dial is too big, and so the "Chronometer" is too wide. Can't wait to get a GEN dial... but it will have to wait.. as stated in my post above
arizac
I was under the impression that the 007 dial was textured... Not sure why I thought that. I was kinda confused about this too, but the textured dial is the Quantum Model, with "Quantum of solace" in the inside of the crystal.
