Notloc08
I wonder if you could send this into Rolex for service. I would think that there's almost no way they could distinguish it apart from the case, and if somebody denied that it was authentic one of their co-workers would probably laugh in their face and ask why anyone would do that/if it's possible? And if you have to have any parts replaced from "wear and tear" Rolex would offer them at lower prices than you can normally source. In the end probably not worth it but it is interesting to think about. I've read something the other day about someone who bought a gen sub, swapped the bracelet for a rep, and Rolex replaced it for them and charged something like $500. I've also heard of the same thing but swapping out a dial. How badly do you want a gen case?!?!
