just order my first vintage daytona and this is the dial i going to have.

What you guys think?

so is this a 6239/6262 or?

6263 or 6265, depending on the bezel.

Dial looks OK, though I would prefer less shiny and less punched subdials. I'm guessing it's from DW's new batch?

No, that's a 6263/6265 dial. "Oyster" on the dial always refers to a screw down pusher model.

Also 6239s or 6262s did not come with red "Daytona" writing above the subdial at 6. When present it is in black or white/silver depending on the dial color.

I didn't know about it, either, until just a few weeks ago! I've been looking at a lot of Daytona dials lately...

I'm awaiting the daytona guru to help me assemble my DW base with gen crown and crystal.

Is this the best dial we can have?I opted forth silver bezel.

Oh, that would be nice, but a bit out of my budget! No, I'm looking closely at the rep dials out there and trying to see which ones could be modded to a higher standard.
