rafi717 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Im no expert but it looks a bit strange. The spacing on Oyster Perpetual is what strikes me the most. What do you think? - R
Guest Sql_pl Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Maybe we could see a picture or a link? :bangin:
LeSentier Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Which of the dials do you want us to rate, mate? Or do you mean daytona dials on ebay in general...?
freddy333 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 The text varies a bit on that model, but it looks ok to me.
LeSentier Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I would say one of the first luminovas - 1996/1997, T- series?
praetor Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) just compare it to the dial variations in this website. http://doubleredseadweller.com/16520.htm it looks like a gen lumi dial, not really sure because don't want to load the website Edited April 28, 2011 by praetor
Guest Sql_pl Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I would say one of the first luminovas - 1996/1997, T- series? Luminova started in late 1998. Dial looks legit.
LeSentier Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Mate, you are correct, and I thought the same. But: saw an invoice for a 16520 service dial today, from rolex itself. It says 11/1996, and it was a luminova dial. I thought so, because of the missing "T". The watch it was installed into, was from 1993. Had it into my hands, also the papers and the invoice. Was an official and certfied rolex service center here. Strange, or?
rafi717 Posted April 28, 2011 Author Report Posted April 28, 2011 I wonder what inspired these slight variations on the dials. It looks like they are fairly random. Improvements?
