ifeveri Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 I'm going on a cruise in Sept. and the POCs are Nassau Bahamas, Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas, and Philipsburg, St. Maarten. Are there any known-solid collectors in any of those places? I'd love to buy a watch while I'm on the trip, and this seems like a great and rare opportunity to maybe see a few different ones in person, and get something nice. aside: is it hard/worrisome to get such a watch back into the US? I don't know if just wearing it is enough to get by, or...? Any thoughts would be welcome.
teoulennon Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I'm not sure about collectors in the area but I bought a gen Tag Aquaracer "Caribbean Edition" in St. Thomas a little over a year ago. It's beautiful!
rgriffith24 Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 I was in Saint Thomas / Saint Maarten in February, A couple of shops in Philipsburg had some bad reps, Canal Street stuff. Didn't see anything in St Thomas. Lots of great gen. stuff though.
ifeveri Posted August 25, 2011 Author Report Posted August 25, 2011 My cruise is coming up in a few weeks...just thought I'd try once more for feedback. Thanks!
chronoluvvv Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 St Maarten has a Back Street (or was it Front Street) that is packed with stores offering watches & jewelery, I didn't see any reps though
sugaray1 Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 In down town Nassau Bahamas go to the straw market. ALOT of low end automatic rolex and Louis vuitton items...and I mean ALOT
ifeveri Posted September 7, 2011 Author Report Posted September 7, 2011 Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.
txrob779 Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 I looked at a dozen reps in Cozumel....all Canal St. junk.....I doubt you will fine any quality reps on the stret or behind the counter at jewelry shops....just my personal behavior. Peace, Rob
