Tmanna
I have a dilemma: My fairly new TT Submariner has stopped working. My watch guy and others tell me to replace the movement. It was an "supposedly" Swiss made ETA 2836. On Ebay I can get it for about $ 150.00. My questions is, is it worth it or is an Asian movement sufficient. The ETA in it only lasted a year and a half anyway. That's why I doubt it was Swiss. Any input is greatly appreciated. Tom
offshore
Tom, If it IS Swiss ETA, it can probably be repaired. If however it is a clone or other Chinese movement, you are best to replace it. Offshore
Rolexman
Most parts between ETA and clone are interchangeable. Let it be checked out by a local watchsmith. He know's what to do.
FxrAndy
Should be no reason to replace the movement at all, i would find a new watch guy, get it serviced and find the problem
