JoeyB Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Actually, it is 666. Does the hand stop at 6 with the movement out of the case? Maybe he wears 3 watches... Yes, out of the case, with the dial installed, with or without the other hands. And any slight touch frees it, sometimes for several rotations. As i was typing this it hesitated and then continued. Gonna remove the dial and see what it does.
JoeyB Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 It's still hesitating or stopping with the dial and all hands off except the second hand. Is there an incantation for this, or do I have to sacrifice a virgin? Here, kitty, kitty, kitty....
jmb Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 I had a movement that acted similar to that and it happened that the tip of the post the sweep hand pressed over was just slightly bent and I guess the tube would rub at the same spot. I also had a movement I serviced do this and it was caused by a bit of Rodico on a gear tooth.
JoeyB Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Yeah, it's got to be something in the post or tube.
