teoulennon Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) After spending quite a bit of time in the Breitling forums, I've decided that I must have a Navitimer The only problem is deciding between a tricompax or a montbrillant datora. I plan on getting a white dial and brown leather band for both. I also plan on getting AR done by FineDD. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand the datora is more accurate in that it is newer, you don't have the sunken dw, and the slide wheel is more accurate. According to Joshua's website, the datora is only .5mm larger diameter so the size isn't really an issue and they both look amazing! What are your thoughts? Any advantages of one over the other (reliability of movement/chrono maybe)? I'm quickly finding out that this hobby can be dangerously addictive Edited May 9, 2011 by teoulennon
subbiesrock Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 1. Montbrillant Legendé 2. Navi World 3. Montbrillant Datora 4. Navitimer
pabler Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 (edited) +1 for the Datora with Fine's DD AR. Edited May 10, 2011 by pabler
teoulennon Posted May 10, 2011 Author Report Posted May 10, 2011 Thanks for the advice guys Pabler is that the brown dial version? Any idea how close the color is to gen?
importr Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Yup - for a rep Navi i'd go for the Datora over the standard "Calibre 23" but the Navi World is worth a look also - if you can get a DW swap
