Dave123 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 First rep from a dealer (thanks Josh as always) in a couple years just arrived, boy Pam reps have come a long way.... The look, feel and build of this 253 is awesome, even looking at the back what a difference in appearance, this reps really say gen to me. I really like this one.... Only fault i can find is the pushers are a tad wobbly,i would imagine the gen would be very stiff, nit picking really but dont know if others find this.... Cant see how any Pam lover could go wrong with one of these, really awesome look (to me,not as boring as 111's and the likes) and quality on these.... I still cant find my camera,my wife probably gave it to a relative when we went to the Philippines and just wont admit it so BB pics it is,not great shots i'm afraid.... Just a couple wristies.... Lousy caseback shot... And an out of the box lume shot, holy smokes not bad...
TwoTone Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Sweeet looking Davey... Enjoy and wear it well... TT
ebzen02 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 No F'ing way. Dave is not buying Breitlings.. Yup the Mayans were correct after all! Nice watch BTW.. My faith in you is now restored!
mrboombasteke Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Meh! JK...looking good. Next time you tell me to get a Breitling, I'll remind you of this purchase.
Dave123 Posted May 11, 2011 Author Report Posted May 11, 2011 Now say i was to consider a strap instead of rubber... Comfortable, not to bland, something unique, goes well with this model....what say you....
subbiesrock Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Now say i was to consider a strap instead of rubber... Comfortable, not to bland, something unique, goes well with this model....what say you.... Easy. Orloff Tan JV with electric blue stitching... That'll look nuts
Dave123 Posted May 11, 2011 Author Report Posted May 11, 2011 Meh! JK...looking good. Next time you tell me to get a Breitling, I'll remind you of this purchase. Not my first Pam rep, though the last one i bought was in 2007 so been a while, but will still always say buy Breitling,of course.
Dave123 Posted May 11, 2011 Author Report Posted May 11, 2011 Hmm,gotta correct myself, bought this 199 in 2009.... Guess every couple years i'm due for one....
Yance Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 I think 253 looks great on rubber. Nice watch bro...
HauteHippie Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 Good stuff Dave. Strap suggestion: Manifatture Firenze Sport Tech with blue stitch. The MF website isn't very clear on stitch colors, but when you contact them, they'll gladly tell you the right color blue for the 253.. Examples:
tessa Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 PM with suggested straps incoming Mr. 123 please share:)
HauteHippie Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 Not bad at all B...is that your's?... No sir. I wish. It's someone's gen that I pulled out of my bookmarks... I think that combo is super sharp.

pizzanooo Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Get a Carbon from Don, white stitch. Then if you choose color it in with your favorite blue sharpie.
Dave123 Posted May 13, 2011 Author Report Posted May 13, 2011 Hey Pizz, how ya doing man. Who is Don?..
pizzanooo Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Doing fine, retired now (thank you long lost relative) and fishing almost 24/7. Rest of the time, gambling, boozin & chasin blondes... Don has been around almost as long as us. Here`s a link to his site. Has the closest look & feel carbon to the Gen, and cheap. http://rlx.homestead.com/don.html
