Librarian Posted May 25, 2011 Report Share Posted May 25, 2011 Was walking through a shopping centre last Wednesday and remembered there was a Timpson's there so I stopped by and the manager tested my 5513 from trusty. Past 50m with flying colours and no charge. What is funny is I'd phoned up another branch and the moment the lady on the phone was told it was a mechanical it would have to be sent off for "specialists" to test it at a cost of £165. I didn't bother arguing the differences in quartz v mech seals but thanked her and laughed once I'd hung up. Best of all - manager thought it was a gen.
