  1. Terrible news. Just remember that we're all here if you need to sound off or vent steam.
  2. Just got the email from Andrew about this. Very interesting. If anyone could post real world pics it would be appreciated. Could this get my Pam 040 off my wrist?
  3. Local watchsmith must have something suitable surely?
  4. There's one in Edinburgh happy to work on reps if he can recognise the mechanism. Not had any servicing done by him yet as I only asked him last week if he'd be happy to service reps when I handed in a bracelet for sizing.
  5. +1. All I need is here. Plus I love the general lack of attitude and helpfulness on this site.
  6. I'll have to respectfully disagree about the stock dial. It's gash and that's being kind. Also, by replacing it (I used a Natalie's passion) it'll allow you to get rid of the wok. It, like the Ndt bezel, really transforms it. Of course the other available inserts will most likely do the same but I've not yet seen one installed in a good photo. Do keep us up to date on progress. I really wondered if it was worth spending all that money but when I got mine back from Dominico I could not stop grinning from ear to ear. Love it.
  7. Zombie thread revival as this was the topic that set this journey off. This one's for Donerix without whose advice this would never have happened.
  8. [quote name='automatico' timestamp='1322748675' "How many subs (rep or gen) can you sell to the same guy?" Quite a few if each 'new improved' one is a tiny bit better than the last one. Seeking perfection in a replica is a long, hard road. Apple iPhone or iPad anyone?
  9. Thanks. I've bought one now. Another hundred quid. This had better be some watch at the end. Cheers guys.
  10. Oops my bad. It's a modified movement, not a true gmt. I suspect I'll end up getting a true gmt instead but want to check out other options such as the dg gmt ones.
  11. Arrrrrrggghhhhhh!!! I've just received an email from Domi stating my 6542 movement is dead and he can't get replacement parts. I've got 6 months and hundreds of pounds invested all for a pile of junk. Can anyone suggest a good replacement that is affordable. So depressed.
  12. Domenico is assembling my "donerix" style 6542 but it'll be end of October or thereabouts. Luminous bezel too.
