uncle rico
I came to RWG a few years ago, as it was an amazing resource to finding a rep of an Omega Planet Ocean. I have loved Omegas for quite some time. I settled on a UPO and I have worn it religiously since. Lately I seemed to be in more watch discussions with people admiring the UPO and I started to feel a bit funny. I set out to get an Omega 2264.50. I searched and searched eBay, watchuseek and timezone but never had a shot. I remembered that RWG had a Gen section and headed on over to the forum. There on the front page, a beautiful 2264 at a great price. I contacted to seller (Cougaree) and asked some questions. Very responsive and I was about to tell him we had a deal but decided to sleep on it. The following morning I woke up with Omega Dial Waves on the brain and reached for my Mac to email him but my son wanted to play and since Dominic came into our world 11 months ago I have realized that time is precious (no pun intended). I got to work, emailed Cougaree and was informed the watch was gone… I spent another week searching and searching. I got to the point that I searched Craigslist city by city (mostly big cities) for a 2264. Then in Houston I spotted one. Great condition, great price but wait… The watch looked familiar, could it be, it was, Cougaree’s 2264. I contacted the seller to enquire and sure enough it was the same watch but it gets better. The seller in Houston, Blackbard. Blackbard could not have been any cooler. I got my 2264 at a great price (truly amazing actually). I guess it was meant to be. I thank Blackbard, Cougaree and the entire RWG community. I think it’s quite poetic that I ended up getting my Gen from the amazing group at RWG. Now, some pics.
