I've seen a lot of straps with at least one fixed keeper, so just slipping them of won't work in some cases.

Even if one of the keepers is fixed cutting it off should not be a problem. I found this at panatime's website

The guys over at TT have the Black leather w/ orange stitch w/o the keepers. 68USD is not too bad, will probably buy one when I get my first UPO. I tried to put a link in, but I am still a FNG so I cannot. It is found under the Omega accessories.
