dutchguy2
I've seen a lot of vintage Rolex Submariner lately. Most of them have those curved hands but a few have straight (flat) hands. Are there gen Subs sold in the past with those straight (flat) hands? The reason for asking is that these flat hands are installed on my 1680 and I would like to know if I need to replace them. freddy333
If your hands are gen (they came on a gen watch), then there is no reason to replace them. Both flat & curved-face Mercedes hands were fitted to Subs & SDs. Not sure if there is a relation to version or time period, but I have seen both forms on gens. dutchguy2
Hi Freddy, Thanks a lot. No, they are not on a gen watch but on a recently sourced MBK/MBW 1680. I was just wondering since I bought replacement hands for two other projects and one set was flat and the other curved and I have a 1665 with curved hands an now this 1680 has flat hands, a bit confusing for me.
