Usil Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 (edited) I like Breitlings and have bought a few but there is a problem, for me anyway. It is the difficulty of seeing the time when outside in the sun without having to study the face and find the hands. After getting used to large IWC and Omega hands the narrow hands used by Breitling on some of their watches makes it difficult to read the time in these conditions. I would suppose that this might also has something to do with all the bling interfering. Anyway, I would like to do a quick glance at my watch and instantly see the time and this does not happen for many Breitlings. Am I alone on this or does this bug others? usil Edited July 14, 2011 by Usil
subbiesrock Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 Very true, but you need to realize there are no more beautiful dials than Breitlings Take a good look, even at a rep Breitling Navitimer, and ask yourself if you should be covering that gorgeousness up
mastergod Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 I agree that Breits have a lot of things going on that compete for your eyes' attention. However I find the Breitling New Pluton to be legible, in fact very much so as it has put all the extras in the LCD window. They don't rep these but you get them cheap on the bay because they're so out of style... Manly sized, too. mg
krustybrand Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 I do have one gen Breitling that is difficult to read, a Windrider Cockpit that is all in silver. Ironically i bought it because of the large date that I can read without my bifocals (that and the fact that I've always loved this model).
dustindu4 Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 I just spent $3000 having my eyeballs lasered and can see 20/10 now. Want the name of my doctor?

If it needs a repair you probably will be offered a new Aerospace with a slightly bigger discount than you would get from the AD.
slickdick Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 I have no problems on my breitling (only have 1 BCE, white dial with antracite/silver hands) no problems there. I do have the same problem with my one and only Panerai (027A). None of the Rolexes i have, have issues regarding reading the hands under any angle, even the saphire ones.

I beileve its the ESA Y2 900231, same as in UDT Chronosport, and thats impossible to get hold of. mg

So usually people who try to have work done on those get offered the Aerospace for a discounted price. At least that's what I have read on german forums from people who tried to get any of the old ana/digis serviced.
