By-Tor
Not many changes but this is the new Co-Axial model, with red lettering. I don't like it on a leather strap. bigpops
I don't like the strap (thought it's obviously available without it), I don't like the red Seamaster text, and i don't like the slower beat of the co-axial movement. I do like the slightly larger hour markers. If i were to have the gen, i'd prefer the old one. As it is, i bought the rep the first day it came out, so i'm a happy bunny anyway. By-Tor
I guess you're right. The lower beat coaxial isn't my cup of tea, either. But that red Seamaster text is nice to my eye.
TwoTone
It would look sweet on a Black Strap...
ratchpot
Is the seconds hand on the previous version noticeably smoother than the co-axial?
postvak
Any idea what dealer sells this in a rep. version ??
r11co
Hmmm - is it a bad pic or has the wavy dial gone. Also, that pearl looks a little shabbily fitted - bringing it closer to the look of the pearl in the new SMP chrono, ironically....
Pugwash
Is the seconds hand on the previous version noticeably smoother than the co-axial? I've compared a Co-Axial PO with a non-co-axial and it's damned smooth, but the beat-rate is noticably slower. For those ofyou who don't know what we're on about, Asian 21j are 21600vph, Co-Axials are 25200vph and ETA-2836 are 28800vph.
Pugwash
Hmmm - is it a bad pic or has the wavy dial gone. Too much noise-reduction has hidden the wavy pattern. It's there, but unsharp-masked away.
