How do you remove the bezel insert on a PT1680?

Hey, sorry for the total noob question, but I'm about to take possession of a PT 1680, and I'd like to age the insert a bit. Found lots of tutorials on how to do the aging, but I couldn't find any on how to actually remove the insert itself.

I understand that the bezel itself pops off, and found this tutorial on how to do that for a gen SD:

Does that same method work for the PT 1680?

Next, how do you get the insert off the bezel? Conversely, how do you get the insert back on (is it glued? if so, which glue?)?

Can anyone briefly explain the mechanical part of the process?

Thanks

I do not have a PT Sub, but, in general, once the bezel has been removed, you simply press (with your thumb) the insert out from the underside of the bezel. If it is cemented in, try running a razor or thin blade in between the bottom of the insert & bezel.

If the insert correctly fits the bezel, you do not need to cement it in. However, if it is too small, a few small dabs of Gorilla glue or semi-permanent automotive gasket cement will work.
